Visions Northwest

Visions Northwest is a nine-county region in northwestern Wisconsin. From the western tip of Lake Superior, across rocky and sandy shoreline coves, to the Apostle Islands and waterfalls along the western edge of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, natural wonders abound. The diverse population features the Native American communities of Lac Courte Oreilles, Bad River and Red Cliff Ojibwa (Chippewa) reservations.

The economic strengths of the Visions Northwest region is largely driven by the area’s natural resources, providing a strong infrastructure for manufacturing, agriculture and tourism industries. Northland College, one of the region’s leading educational institutions, has been recognized for sustainability and environmental concerns by Sierra Magazine, Princeton Review, Forbes, the National Arbor Day Foundation and the Sustainable Endowments Institute.
